Adult Coloring Book

Maia of the Forest depicts an artistic journey through depression. The coloring pages and narrative inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s Thumbelina, are designed to bring comfort and beauty into the lives of anyone who, like the author, has seen sorrow.

I began this project during a season of great anxiety and depression. I often hid myself in my room and drew these illustrations to help find joy and distract my aching mind. It evolved into a coloring book and then a narrative describing through alagory the journey I was experiencing.

My hope was to turn my sorrow into something beautiful and now I have completed the story. I have seen a lot of improvement in my health, but the journey isn't over. I am raising funds now, through kickstarter, to publish the book and get it out there for anyone else who struggles with depression and anxiety.

Help support this project on kickstarter and spread the hope!
