A satirical one-shot graphic novel involving mystery, murder, romance and more. Reklas Abandon is a low-fi novel using only 8 colors, and the story takes place entirely in one location.
I began this story in college as a stab at what I believed graphic novels had become in my generation. I came up with sterio-typical characters and made a make-fun comic stip for my sister.
Years later, she found the old drawings and sent them to me. I wanted to practice publishing and releasing a graphic novel, so I took these characters and scenario and made a story out of it with my husband.
It is still, in its own way, a commentary on some of the trends I see in story-making, and a call go looking for truth.
